Not just ANY party, but a real JEWISH celebration!
3How does one have a really Jewish party, and do it in a way that
guests will enjoy and comprehend?
Steve has almost 3 decades of experience creating lively Jewish
celebrations. People have so much fun that many bands consider him
party insurance! Steve has a magical talent for getting people to follow
him, and guests find themselves swept into joyous dancing with many
surprising variations that are fun, satisfying, and easy to follow. It
is one of the few activities that all generations can enjoy together
and speaks to everyone’s hearts and souls.

What Clients Have Said:
He was great.
He was amazing
The party wouldn't have been as great without him
He created these big things.... the heals on the plate with the spinning around, that was really fun, it was quite a thing
The bottle dance.... I was actually talking to people at that point, but I looked over and saw 10-12, people with kipa's and bottles on their heads trying to balance them.
The chicken game thing with 3 chairs, it was amazing that he got these 3 chairs, got this rubber chicken, sat me down in the middle chair and got 20 people to join by just saying you'd love this. He got J, A, and A to join and I was really surprised by that.
He created these big things out of nothing, he got people to join in and it just worked
He got people up and moving, he would just grab their arm and take them onto the floor and they would start dancing

We hired Steve to lead Yiddish dancing at
our wedding in 2011, along with Alicia Svigals' wedding band. Steve
kept everyone, young and old, on the dance floor the entire night.
Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about klezmer music and Yiddish
dance, and makes it so fun and accessible for everyone, regardless of
their background. He truly entertained us (the bride and groom) and
showed our guests (our skeptical parents especially!) how fun a Jewish
wedding can be when the Jewish aspect extends past the chupah and a
short hora to encompass the entire night. Our guests were having so
much fun at the end of the night that they forgot to stop dancing for
dessert.

We wanted a Jewish celebration for Elena's bat mitzvah, and that was what you
helped us achieve. Our rabbi was amazed (he and his family were there) at how
effectively Steve led people in JEWISH dancing (unlike at most parties where
the goal is popular dancing); he said it finally made sense to him to have a
dance leader. I have never seen such a cross-section of attendees dancing, all
together, all different ages and backgrounds.

Thank you again for making Liam's celebration such a memorable event filled with warmth and tradition. It was exactly what I had dreamed, and it couldn't have happened without you. Your so good at not only leading the dances, but getting everyone to participate. When "the big dance" started, people were sitting at their tables--but then you take out the wine bottle and suddenly people are standing, coming closer, wanting to see the show. They draw near and are now in perfect position for you to grab them and have them join the dance. So ingenious of you. In addition, you know how to read your audience, realizing that the kids were content in the back room and did not need to play games on the dance floor.
Thanks again for such a wonderful day. Your warmth is infectious.

We both feel very honored that such true top artists performed at our little event and created a magic evening. I will always remember that. Thank you also for bringing Steve Weintraub in. For me, his particular greatness is, that he can create a wonderful experience from out of almost nothing (a handkerchief, a hat, an empty bottle, and one chair). This minimalist show is impressive, and reflects a skill and attitude which is almost gone in this society here; who is left who can really create great entertainment through mere collective social interaction ? I am sure that for most of the guests the experience of such a moment lay way in the past, if they had it at all. All in all, your performance created an atmosphere which was exactly what we hoped to get!
